Youth Sunday School. Ministry Partner Visits.

First off I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has already submitted their responses to the Parish Wide Survey on study, service, and small groups. If you haven’t had a chance yet, please do so, by clicking here: https://forms.gle/phNvjEWm1q3Sz1Nb7

Next, I wanted to make sure you know that we will have a few guest preachers in the upcoming month. On Sunday September 8th we will welcome the Chaplain of Holy Family Ministries, Leslie Hunter. And on Sunday September 22nd The Rev. Tommy Rogers will join us. On each of these Sundays our guest preacher will be at both services as well as be available during coffee hour to learn more about these two wonderful ministry partners.

Finally, I am happy to announce that You Sunday School is set to kick off on Sunday September 8th. This year it will take place 9:00-9:45 AM. Once again Mary Beth Darr has offered to organize a sort of “one room school house” Sunday School, which means that youth ages 3 through high school will all be together, offering an opportunity for intergenerational interaction!

If you or your youth plan on participating in Sunday School or have any questions, please contact Mary Beth Darr at mbdarr78@gmail.com

Peace,

Fr Adler+

Read Along with the Church

Last week in the Daily Office Lectionary we began reading through the book of Job. Job is one of the most unique books in the Bible. While it’s a narrative, it’s not really a part of the grand narrative of the whole Bible. But still it reflects on some deep and weighty matters, most especially: why do bad things happen to good people? Below you’ll find videos and a reading guide to help provide some background as we read along with the Church through Job.
