Rector

Father Paul Adler has been the Rector (Pastor) of St. David's since July of 2023. Before coming to St. David's, Father Adler served as the Rector of The Church of St. Alban, Roxborough in Philadelphia, PA from 2015-2023. Prior to that, he served as the Curate (assistant) at Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, NJ from 2013-2015.
Father Adler is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN (2009) and of Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ (2012). He also holds a Certificate in Anglican Studies from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (2013).
Father Adler lives in the Rectory along with his wife Lindsay and their three children.

Organist and Choirmaster

Richard Spantikow has been the Organist/Choirmaster at St. David’s since October of 2017. Prior to joining the staff of St. David’s, he was the Director of Music at his home church, Immaunel UCC in Streamwood. Prior to that, has served as Organist/Choirmaster at St. James Episcopal in West Dundee and All Saints Episcopal in Western Springs. He also served as assistant organist at Immanuel when he was in high school and then at First United Methodist in Evanston. Richard, learned to love the Episcopal liturgy during his St. James tenure, and has always enjoyed being able to express his love of the English Cathedral style of church music, which has a long tradition here at St. David’s. The Episcopal Church, and St. David’s has had such an impact in Richard’s life that he was confirmed into the Church in November of 2021.
Richard is active in the North Shore chapter of the American Guild of Organists, where he currently serves as Sub-Dean.

Stephanie McGuire has been the Office Administrator at St. David’s since June of 2017. Prior to joining the staff of St. Davids, she was a Senior Account Executive with Murphy Knott Public Relations and then started her own boutique firm Berg Stark & McGuire providing media, public relations, and marketing services for public and private organizations. Currently a resident of Northfield, Stephanie grew up in Wilmette, and has large family and professional ties to the North Shore Community.

Stephanie received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Loyola University, Chicago, with a double major in Journalism and Communications.

Corey Swender has been the bookkeeper at St. David's since November 2021. Before joining St. David's staff, she has been a stay-at-home mom to four children ranging in age from 17 to 12. During this time she's been involved with school PTO, Deerfield Parent Network, and DHS Booster Club. She served on the board at the Tennaqua Swim and Racquet Club and Kipling PTO. Prior to her family, she worked in the corporate world in finance and accounting. Corey has her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University.

Sexton

David shares his time at St. David’s and St. James The Less episcopal Churches. David has done custodian work for 15 years at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, his alma mater, and most recently was Lead Custodian for a staff of 13. He and his spouse, Corrie, have four children: one in college, two in middle school and one in second grade. They have recently purchased a home in Waukegan.
